Around Obergurgl in the upper Ötztal valley, groomed winter walking trails wind their way through the snow-covered mountains of Tyrol. The trails range from a short loop on the Hohe Mut to a longer route along the Gurgler Ache, and from easy sections to moderate walks. From the Froschlacke near Königsrain, this short trail runs close to the Gurgler Ache, sheltered below the road. At the Poschach bridge, you have a choice: either continue on to the Ploaren section or cross to the other side of the road to join the Königsrain winter walking trail (No. 4).
