The alpenRelax sauna area combines various saunas and steam rooms, a chance to cool off in the ice grotto, and two relaxation rooms. After skiing or hiking, the warmth soothes tired muscles, while loungers and water beds invite you to unwind.
The alpine terrain begins right in front of the Hotel & Apartment Alpenland: ski-in/ski-out, cross-country skiing, and ski touring in winter; sun skiing in spring; hiking, climbing, and cycling in summer; and clear, sweeping views during fall hikes. This way, you can enjoy the activities in Obergurgl all year round.
In 1956, Josef and Anna Fender purchased the Alpenland guesthouse, which had 20 beds. Over the following five decades, Adi and Frieda Fender gradually expanded the guesthouse, from extending the guest rooms and building a new dining room to creating the alpenRelax wellness area and new apartments. From these humble beginnings, the Alpenland has grown into today’s 4-star Hotel & Apartments Alpenland, which the Fender and Kieler families continue to run with the same warmth and hospitality.
