# Getting to Obergurgl in the Ötztal Valley

## Location of the Hotel & Apartment Alpenland

The Hotel & Apartment Alpenland is situated in Obergurgl at the head of the Ötztal valley, at an altitude of 1,930 metres. Its location away from busy through-roads offers direct access to the high-alpine mountain landscape around Gurgl. The coordinates are: 47° 6′ N, 10° 57′ E.

### Travelling by car

You can reach the Hotel & Apartment Alpenland by car via the Inntal motorway, taking the Ötztal exit. Alternatively, if travelling from Germany, you can take the Fern Pass.
During the summer months, the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road can be used as a seasonal route from South Tyrol to Gurgl. Please check the current opening times and road conditions before setting off.

### Travelling by public transport

Take the train to Ötztal station. From there, you can take a regular bus directly to Obergurgl. If you’re travelling by plane, the airports of Innsbruck, Munich and Salzburg are all suitable. You can continue your journey by public transport or in a hire car.
