#### High-Altitude Cycling Training in Tyrol

Obergurgl is located at an elevation of 1,930 meters, making it an ideal destination for [high-altitude training](https://www.hotelalpenland.at/erleben/fruehling-urlaub-obergurgl/hoehentraining-obergurgl-oetztal/# "High-Altitude Training in Obergurgl") by bike. Those who train and stay overnight at this altitude can specifically build up their endurance and performance. The low oxygen content stimulates the production of red blood cells, which improves oxygen transport.

The rooms on the second floor of the Hotel & Apartment Alpenland are located at an altitude of 2,000 meters. This allows you to sleep at high altitude (Sleep High) while traveling down to the valley for training (Train Low). This combination is considered an effective method for altitude training.

The bike bus will transport your bicycle or e-bike on all regular bus services between Imst/Haiming and Obergurgl, free of charge throughout the valley provided you have a valid bus ticket.
